We catch up with some of our favourite faces, the ones who stand out for all the right reasons. Their beauty doesn’t follow rules; mixed identities, layered lives, unexpected paths, they tell us what it means to be IN BETWEEN

EMILY
The in-between is innate to me. Something I can't, and was never going to, escape. To live in the inbetween, to me, is about carving out new worlds. Building homes, or walking paths in places there wouldn't have been before. Working hard to hold each, often contradictory, part of yourself, and rethinking all boundaries that you previously assumed to be so solid.

JULIA
I’ve always been in-between many things, modelling itself is seen as a transient opportunity- maybe you’ll get a year or two of glamour. Being a florist, I work with the seasons. I’m proud of myself for balancing the demands of modelling with my passion for flowers, because life in between the two paths is my dream come true.

COSIMA
My experience living in the in-between is what I think gives me inspiration for my work as an artist, nothing is ever really black and white. Things happen in life that you don't expect, and I do things that some people wouldn't expect. Being able to subvert what's perceived of you is what gives things nuance. It's not interesting to be predictable.

THEO
I wouldn’t say I live in between, I live authentically.
Some might say that, as a trans woman, I embody the idea of being in between.
But as I grow and evolve into the powerful woman I am today, I’ve come to realise that choosing myself, honoring my needs, values, and choices, is what allows me to radiate truth, integrity, and inner beauty.

CHENCHEN
I often find myself in-between, somewhere between process and outcome, between certainty and the unknown. London feels like home, but it also keeps a distance; in a crowd, I can feel safe and lonely at the same time. I enjoy that tension. It lets me be inside and outside at once. I don’t need quick answers, lingering in the grey is my way of being free.
