Flower Nation is a series of images aimed to highlight the strength and growth of women both internally and externally. The overall focus is on Flowers, not only for the obvious physical traits of growth and strength but also the more profound meaning attached to many flowers. Each collection has a representative flower for its colour and style, but also its symbolism giving the series a poetic harmony. These portrayals are rooted less in the fragility and subtleness of beauty, but more in the power and fortitude in having awareness and control for both “feminine” and “masculine” qualities.
Felicity collaborates with Select Model Management in London to produce a diverse and unique cast for this project.
All images in this series have been handprinted by Felicity @ My Own Colour Lab in New York City.
“In these turbulent political times, we are all one nation, one people, without borders…….. One Flower Nation.”
