Simon Porte Jacquemus has had us all in a spin of late. This designer is not afraid to confront notions of sensuality where others have backed away completely. Through his use of draping, contrasted with structured tailoring and some sultry knitted dresses, Jacquemus as a brand celebrates the female form. Not to mention the sense of humour which comes across with the creation of the smallest ‘it’ bag. Maybe we all need to carry less stuff; how liberating. And he does this all in a way that pays homage to woman, hence why his following just keeps growing. With his Autumn Winter 18 collection entitled ‘Le Souk’, Simon Porte Jacquemus draws upon escapism to warmer climes and getting lost in the souks of Morocco. ALSO takes a closer look.
