As my isolation began on March 12, 2020, I began thinking about what this isolation means and how it relates to us as individuals and as a whole. Most of the world is in isolation now, with one common goal. This is a first, in my lifetime, where the majority of people in the world are working to attain the same outcome. As individuals, we are isolated, but as a whole we are working together. Additionally, I have been observing and considering connectivity. During this time, people are striving to stay connected to each other more than ever. Whether it be virtually, by phone or by other means of socially distant communication, people are searching for comfort, strength and a sense of normalcy through connectivity.
